There are two common installation issues seen on MAC computers:
Issue 1: I double click the icon to install and nothing happens.
Solution 1: Some Mac computers have trouble installing ROES through the traditional installation instructions. To avoid this issue, instead of double clicking the ROES icon when prompted, click and drag the icon directly into your Applications Folder. Double click the installer from there to complete the process.
Issue 2: My computer is warning me that this application cannot be installed because it's not from a trusted developer.
Solution 2: Since our application is not available in the app store, you will need to adjust a setting in your computer to allow applications to be installed from outside of the app store. Follow these steps then try to install our application again:
- Open up your system preferences by clicking on the Apple Menu and selecting “System Preferences”
- Find the “Security & Privacy” settings
- In the "General" tab, you may need to click the lock icon at the bottom of the window in order to make changes.
- Go to “Allow applications downloaded from:"—If you see Richard Photo Lab, choose that. Otherwise, you can choose " Anywhere".
Now try the download again, and it should work without a hitch!
If you are still getting an error message, please call us at (661) 200-5300, or email us with a screen shot and computer information (operating system version, what internet browser and version you are using, if you’ve ever used another lab's ROES program before), and we’d be happy to help with any more issues you might be having.
